More info: tasted during the #MilroysTT2 twitter tasting that was organised by @TheWhiskyWire. My guess was it to be a single grain, specifically Girvan, matured on a good sherry butt.

Distilled on 26/02/1999, matured in ex-Sherry cask #1355 – Bottled on 15/03/2013 into 371 bottles

.millstone - peated

lege 5cl sample
abv: 40%
type: single malt
fles: 70cl, €40,- geproefd uit 5cl sample
filtratie: onbekend
karamel E150a: toegevoegd

neus: licht zoet, drop, turf
smaak: zoet, turf, rook, bitter, blijft plakken op verhemelte, beetje rauw, waterig
afdronk: kort, bitter
score: ++

conclusie: Mwah. Niet vies, ook niet lekker. Een beetje waterig, wat ruw op de tong, voor €40,- zijn er veel mooiere Islay single malts te koop.
