.millstone - 5yo

40% abv, €45, single malt, non-chill filtered, natural colour

Nose: sweet, cotton-candy, vanilla, light honey, floral, sunflower(seed)s, gentle wood, barley, hay, vegetable oil, fruit, light sour berries, barely ripe white grapes
Palate: medium dry, fat, floral, sunflowers, sunflower-oil, slight wood notes
Finish: medium dry, medium long, liquorice, sweet, floral
Mark: +++/++

Conclusion: although it is really nice, and not what I remembered from earlier tastings, this could have gained a little more from a slightly higher abv, and a little more age. It is not a bad product, but I am looking forward to tasting some older, and perhaps stronger expressions.
