.linkwood - 12yo - flora and fauna

From the Linkwood distillery, we have seen a couple of "official" bottlings, although most of what they produce disappears in the Company's J&B and Johnnie Walker blends. This is one of the Flora and Fauna series (there are three, afaik)

43% abv, €55
single malt

Nose: sweet, marshmallows, grassy, fresh cut grass, fruity, apples, unripe pears, subtle citrus, pomelo

Palate: sweet, sugar, white crystal sugar, spicy, white pepper, creamy, fruit, citrus, sweet grapefruit, pomelo

Finish: sweet, creamy, honey, sugar, citrus, sweet grapefruit, spicy, black pepper
Mark: +++++ 

Conclusion: Nor particularly awesome, as some other Flora and Fauna bottlings appear to be. Still good stuff though, but rather... simple and subtle. Boring even...
