.linkwood - 12yo - flora and fauna

From the Linkwood distillery, we have seen a couple of "official" bottlings, although most of what they produce disappears in the Company's J&B and Johnnie Walker blends. This is one of the Flora and Fauna series (there are three, afaik)

.linkwood 23yo - smws 39.92 - dessert wine and smoking jacket

Compared her to her sister cask, that was distilled on the same day, matured in similar fashion, for a similar length of time and bottled in the same year. Funny how different this can turn out. This bottling was intended for the Canadian market, and we must have obtained it via a bottle share, for this comparison.

.linkwood 23yo - smws 39.94 - an exotic privilege

We joined in a "whisky for a year" bottle share back in 2014, where we received an smws bottle(share) each month. Good times, I only never got around to taste them until now. A shame really...

.linkwood - 1995 - wemyss malts - honeysuckle bower

Another Wemyss special release, the Honeysuckle Bower, although for my palate it might as well have been called Camomile Pot-pourri. Nevertheless, I can find the naming to be correct once again for this "rescued" Linkwood of which most disappears in the Diageo blended whiskies...

.linkwood - 15 - g&m

abv: 43%
type: single malt
fles: 70cl, €60,- geproefd met 5cl sample
filtratie: onbekend
karamel E150a: onbekend

score: +++
