Palate: sweet, dark stone-fruits, plums,

Conclusion: Stuff, with things.

More info: It is not stated on the bottle, but I would be very surprised if this - rather dark looking, uncoloured whisky has not matured on an ex-Sherry butt. Also 907 bottles is quite a lot for a smaller sized cask.

Distilled on 30-10-2000, matured in cask #435, bottled on 24-08-2011 into bottle #400 of 907

conclusie: Tijdens een diner in het Schotse restaurant/ whisky bar De Koebrug in Stavoren had ik gekozen voor een heerlijke rib-eye met haggis, waarbij deze whisky werd me aangeraden door de eigenaar. Het kruidige en zoete was een mooie aanvulling op de gekozen maaltijd.
