.teaninich - 30yo - smws 59.50 - comfortable in the chesterfield

Another mystery smws release. Well, nit such a mystery at all, because the list of numbers is out there if you know how to type "smws" and "code" or something similar in Google. It appears that I have never before reviewed a Teaninich before, so it is about time...

54.9% abv, €175
single malt, non-chill filtered, natural colour

Nose: sweet, honey, herbal, sage, fruity, red apples, a hint of leather
Palate: creamy, sweet, spicy, black peppers, allspice, honey, fruit, sweet red apples, juicy sweet pears, perfectly ripe mangos
Finish: long, sweet, honey, floral, honeysuckle, fruit, apples, sweet pears, mango
Mark: ++++/+ 

Conclusion: Beauty. No more, no less. Quite pricy though. Totally worth it. 

More info: Distilled on the 8th of November 1983, matured in a refill ex-Bourbon hogshead, filled into 274 bottles in 2014.
