.aberlour - 100 proof

An old bottling of an Aberlour, bottled at 100 degrees UK proof. We have found a 33.33cl bottle with the Drostan's Well label (there were 2 different labels) some time ago, bottled in 1998.

57.1% abv, €25*, single malt

Nose: sweet, toffee, home made warm gingerbread, dried fruit, raisins, prunes, fresh fruit, warm apple sauce, overripe banana, nuts, fresh walnuts
Palate: sweet, toffee, caramel, spicy, white pepper, black peppercorns, cinnamon, dried fruit, raisins, berries, cranberries, fresh raspberries, ripe banana
Finish: long, sweet, warm, spicy, cinnamon, allspice, dried fruit, raisins, overripe bananas
Mark: ++++/+

Conclusion: Very nice, a little sweeter as the average a'Bunadh. We might just go back to this shop and look for more before he sells out...

*per 33.33cl
