In Vroomshoop, in the East of the Netherlands, Kalkwijck distillers produces many traditional Dutch distillates, this jonge jenever being one of them. Crafted with local products, grown from the family's 300 hectares land.

Nose: grainy, sweet, biscuits, herbal, sage

Palate: creamy, smooth, a touch of apple skin, a hint of ginger

Finish: short, sweet, grainy, biscuits, a touch of fresh fennel
Mark: +++/++

Conclusion: I like this. Not as an alternative to my daily dram, but I can imagine drinking this every now and then as a warm-up on a cold day.
