.glenlossie - 10yo - flora and fauna

From the beautiful 26 bottle counting series of Diageo's Flora and Fauna series, we have found a sample of the Glenlossie. While we were at the distillery, we were poured a sample, and because I was driving that day, I brought it with me for a good note.

43% abv, €45
single malt

Nose: sweet, vanilla, sweet barley (green malt) gentle, fruity, green apples, white grapes, light spice notes, sweet ginger, star anise, a hint of allspice, cloves, laurel
Palate: sweet, vanilla, sugar, citrus, lemon rind, fruit, apples, sweet juicy pears, a touch of dried fruit, raisins, cranberries, rather dry, spices, cardamom
Finish: short, sweet, vanilla, spices, star anise, cardamom, fruit, white grapes, dry
Mark: +++++

Conclusion: It took a while for this one to open up, although there are no exceptionally strong flavours, everything is quite subtle, but damn... this is a fine dram...
