.longmorn 19yo - smws 7.83 - fresh, airy and sherbety

We joined in a "whisky for a year" bottle share back in 2014, where we received an smws bottle(share) each month. Good times, I only never got around to taste them until now. A shame really...

52.1% abv, €80
single malt, non-chill filtered, natural colour

Nose: sweet, honey, creamy, vanilla ice cream, fresh, grassy
Palate: sweet, honey, fresh cut grass, creamy vanilla ice cream (again), fruit, citrus, zesty, oranges, lemons
Finish: medium long, slightly bitter, citrus, orange zest
Mark: +++++

Conclusion: not so fond of the finish and quite unlike Longmorns I have had previously.

More info: distilled on 20/05/1993, matured in a refill hogshead for 19 years, filled into 248 bottles in 2013
