.the dalmore - 15

Day five of the Drinks by the Dram advent calendar 2015. Behind door number 5, they have hidden a 15 year old Dalmore. I am not a big fan of the Dalmore, so let's see what this update brings to my note...

40% abv, €75, single malt

Nose: sweet, fruit, pears, dried fruit, raisins, red wine, citrus, orange peel, chocolate dipped orange candy
Palate: sweet, honey, vanilla, mouth drying, spicy, white pepper, milk chocolate, floral, heather, lavender
Finish: sweet, toffee, spicy, laurel, short, bitter roasted coffee beans
Mark: ++/+++

Conclusion: I am still not really exited about this. There is something 'off' with the Dalmores I have tasted, on which I can not put my finger on.

More info: matured in ex-Bourbon for twelve years, after which she has matured for three more years in Amarosso, Apostoles and Matusalem ex-Sherry casks.

.many thanks to the kind people of Drinks by the Dram to let us review their 2015 advent calendar
