Nose: creamy, a hint of smoke, sweet, vanilla, salted butter, and... nothing more really

Conclusion: Before I had a really, really bad encounter with a 10yo Jura, this was one of my go-to whiskies when in doubt and scared to broaden my horizon and before I started making notes. Now, many years later, this is a warm welcome back, albeit a little confusing. She is not as fine as I once remembered, but not as horrific as my encounter with the 10. Not per se a re-purchase though.
.many thanks to the kind people of Drinks by the Dram to let us review their 2015 advent calendar
