Nose: sweet, clover-honey, a hint of peat, salt, coffee-beans, citrus, blood-oranges, slight malty, white beer with a slice of lime
Palate: firm, dry, sweet, honey, spicy, white pepper, fruit, red apples, citrus, oranges
Finish: gentle, a hint of smoke, sweet, red fruit, cherries, red apples, medium long, medium dry
Mark: +++/++
Conclusion: fairly nice. I could recommend this to someone as a step towards peated whiskies.
More info: matured in ex-Bourbon, finished in ex-Sherry casks for an unknown period. It appears to be a large amount of 14-15 year old Fettercairn, complemented with much younger, heavily peated Fettercairn.
Fior means "true" in Gaelic.
