.bruichladdich - 2003 - micro provenance - cask #543

Thias Bruichladdich has been distilled in 2003 and has been maturing in the isle of Islay in an ex-Port Hogshead barrel ever since.

60.1% abv, €125, single malt, non-chill filtered, natural colour

Nose: sweet, fruity, pear, dried fruits, raisins, plums, fresh, a hint of mint
Palate: hot, fruity, dried fruits, raisins, plums, syrup, creamy, sticky
Finish: long, sweet, fruity, dried fruits, plums, a hint of tannin, slightly mineral
Mark: +++++

Conclusion: beautifully balanced, too bad about the mineral finish, or it would have been higher on my wish list.

More info: Cask filled on 18-06-2003, matured in ex-Port hogshead 15/297 543, bottled into 250 bottles on 04-11-2015
