.highland park - odin

Highland Park introduced their Valhalla Collection with Thor, followed by Loki and Freya, and now have closed their series with Odin, ruler of Asgard.

55.8% abv, €250, single malt, non-chill filtered, natural colour

Nose: sweet, clover-honey, floral, heather, Christmas cake, spices, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, cardamom, mace, white pepper, earthy

Palate: sweet, smooth, honey, spicy, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg

Finish: 'dark', firm, clover-honey, long, medium dry
Mark: +++++ 

Conclusion: If it were not for the ridiculous price, I would like to have this for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In between I might consider another sip or two. I am no big fan of Highland Park, but this... After warming her a bit the nose and palate are just beautiful. I wish Highland Park would make more of this, for a normal price.
