.the one

The first whisky from Lakes Distillery, a British distillery in Cumbria that are as proud of their picturesque part of England as they are their excellently blended whisky from across the British Isles, since the distillery's own whisky has not come of age yet.
40% abv, €35, blend

Nose: sweet, marshmallows, vanilla, unripe bananas, sambal
Palate: sweet, vanilla, custard, fruit, dried apples, spicy, herbal, sage, bay leaves, creamy mouthfeel
Finish: short, very gentle, sweet, vanilla, custard, marshmallows, grape skins, tannins, semi-dry and a slight bitter as with drinking an very hoppy beer.
Mark: +++++

Conclusion: I am not impressed by this blend. It is drinkable, but there are other fine blends available without the need to look really hard.
