Nose: fresh, sweet, caramel, overripe fruit, pineapple, 'dark', floral, wet heather, band aids, raisins, ginger bread, cinnamon
Palate: hot, spicy, jalapeƱo peppers, slight bitter from marmalade, citrus, sweet, caramel, toffee
Finish: strong, warming, long, sweet, burned caramel
Mark: +++/++
Conclusion: nice. Bought on a whim by the Mrs and never has it been a point of argument between us.
More info: distilled in 1992, matured with (!) Sherry casks. On the back of the label it states that Knockando is owned by Justerini & Brooks, which confused me at first, but it turns out that J&B (now there is a dead give-away) is once again owned by Diageo. As expected really.
