.tha arran - the Robert burns Single Malt - new version

43% abv, €25, single malt

Nose: dark chocolate, vanilla, fruit, sweet, raspberries, raisins, grape juice, sweet red apples, citrus, sweet oranges
Palate: sweet, vanilla, quite young, harsh, raisins, sultanas
Finish: medium-dry, medium-long, semi-sweet, dark chocolate, raisins
Mark: ++/+++
Conclusion: Not bad, not bad at all. I am not sure at what age this is, but I am guessing it is not much older as 5 to 6 years, not that that must be an issue.
For the price, this is surely one you can serve your guests on a party - and not just the ones that you do not like…

More info: created with 70% ex-Bourbon casks and 30% ex-Sherry casks

Tasted at the Arran distillery, as part of the Gold tour
