No tasting notes, tasted at Maltstock 2013, during Suntory's Masterclass

Mark: +++/++

Conclusion: Good, but a bit dry for my taste. Maybe it is too much sherry influenced?

More info: Fully matured in three year old ex-Oloroso Sherry butts made from European oak.

.yamazaki - mizunara

48% abv, €300, single malt, non-chill filtered, natural colour

No tasting notes, tasted at Maltstock 2013, during Suntory's Masterclass

Conclusion: Really nice, but €300 for a bottle of whisky is a lot of money. The Mrs. was not too enthusiastic about it, so I am afraid it will not get into the house any time soon.

More info: Has fully matured in Japanese Mizunara oak.

.yamazaki - 12yo

43% abv, €65, single malt, natural colour

No tasting notes, tasted at Maltstock 2013, during Suntory's Masterclass
