.mortlach - 16yo - the maltman

Another sample from the vaults of the Maltman. Secrets are to be revealed eventually, such as the whiskies of the Mortlach distillery, kindly given to us by the Maltman's Andrew Hart.

??% abv, €?? - cask sample
single malt, non-chill filtered, natural colour

Nose: sweet, honey, barley, spicy, peppers, roasted paprika, citrus, grapefruit, raspberries, cookie dough
Palate: sweet, honey, spicy, cayenne pepper, roasted paprika, cinnamon, fruit, sweet berries, raspberries, dark chocolate
Finish: medium long, sweet, floral, heather, rosewater, wine gums, dark chocolate
Mark: +++++

Conclusion: Beautiful. Knowing their price ranges, this bottling will end up somewhere around €100. Quite some money, but compared to the prices of the official Mortlachs, this should be a steal.
