.auchroisk - 30yo

Sampled at the tour we had at the Auchroisk distillery during Spirit of Speyside 2014. Good times were had.

54.7% abv, €300+, single malt

Nose: sweet, fruity, cherries, sweet berries, dried fruit, raisins, big, complex, dark chocolate
Palate: sweet, dried fruit, raisins, dried apricots, citrus, orange peel, dry
Finish: rather short (surprisingly), quit dry, cinnamon, a hint of cloves,
Mark: ++++/+

Conclusion: Beautiful. I could have this for breakfast. And lunch. For dinner it would be a bit too much maybe, but after dinner, I can see myself sipping this over and over and over...

More info: Only 2976 bottles were filled with this beauty that normally disappears in the well known Diageo blends.
