Nose: sweet and at the same time briny. Obviously some peat smoke but also coffee, walnuts and some cinnamon
Palate: sweet liquorice, spicy cinnamon, warming
Finish: sweet liquorice root, the mandatory smoke, ash and reasonably long
Mark: +++++
Conclusion: I have had some Big Peat before, and obviously this is of a different composition, and it is for the better.
More info: this is a blended malt made up of Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Bowmore and Port Ellen.
