.johnnie walker - double black

40% abv, €28, blend, chill filtered, caramel E150 added

Nose: sweet, honey, floral, heather, fruit, raisins, pears, slight peat, mild smoke
Palate: sweet, honey, floral, heather, fruit, apples, pears
Finish: sweet, honey, floral, heather, gentle smoke
Mark: ++++/+

Conclusion: she has a bit more "umpfh" as her older sister black label, yet at the same time, she is quite gentle. Nothing wrong with it. Looking at my notes, it is quite balanced too. I would really recommend this in any whisky cabinet, it is not too peaty (if there is such a thing), not overly sweet or fruity or anything, it is just, OK.
