46% abv, €45, blended malt, non-chill filtered, natural colour

Nose: smoky, peat, fresh, mint, eucalyptus, sweet, cucumber
Palate: spicy, white pepper, fat, gentle in spite of the pepper, citrus, red grapefruit
Finish: smoky, slight ash, sweet, floral, heather, dry, long, liquorice root
Mark: ++++/+

Conclusion: I quite like this. A somewhat more gentle layer within the overly present peat give her something that is not present in some of the Islay single malts.

More info: She reminds me a little of Laphroaig, which could be very true since she has been created from "a marriage of an Islay South shore malt, a peated malt, a peated malt from the Isle of Mull and a smoky Speyside malt" as quoted from the Compass Box website. Maybe the gentle layer comes from the Speyside malt?
