.vintage rye - 23yo

47% abv, €100, straight rye

Nose: raw, harsh, wood, cork
Palate: mouldy, flat, stale, wood, cork
Finish: short, sour, tannin, wood, cork
Mark: -/+++++

Conclusion: In my personal opinion, this has been in a cask for too long and has become way too harsh and woody. Definitely not my drink of choice.

With ice (!) there are some Werthers' on the nose, the taste flattens to nothing much besides something stale, with the finish... well, let's just say it did not get any better. I have better ways to spend €100.
